You can customize your audio by providing details on pauses, speed and audio formatting for acronyms, dates, times, abbreviations, or text that should be censored with SSML editor.

  1. On the Episode Editing Page, click the text box you wish to work on inside these sections; Intro, Story, and Outro.

  2. The Content Editor will show up. You can see the available commands on the tabs above the text box.

  3. You can Highlight the text to give the function of SPEED, SAY AS. You can locate your cursor between a sentence for using BREAK command. Here is the function of each command and how to use it:
    • BREAK : Giving a pause in your speech by giving a quiet time. You can do it by locating your cursor between sentences you wish to add a break. You have options for Short, Medium, and Long. If each of them is not quite enough length for your need, you can also add multiple of them to reach the BREAK length you need.

    • SPEED : Adjust the speech of speaking those text by highlighting the sentence you wish to edit the speed. You have options from very slow to very fast.

    • SAY AS : Give more detailed information on how you want your text to be interpreted and spoken. Use it to have it speak the way you want such as Cardinal, ordinal, dates, time, and more.
      • Cardinal : Example: Give “12345” to speak as "Twelve thousand three hundred forty five" (for US English) or "Twelve thousand three hundred and forty five (for UK English)" 

      • Ordinal : Example: Give “1” to speak as “First”

      • Fraction : Example: Give 5 ½ to be spoken as "five and a half":

      • Unit : Converts units to singular or plural depending on the number. You can give "10 foot” to be spoken as “10 feet”

      • Spell-out : To spell out letter by letter. Example: Give “abcdefg” to be spoken as “Aey-Bee-Cee-Dee-Eee-Ef-Gee”

      • Date : Give detail on how to speak the date. Example: Give “2020/05/01” to be spoken as “May first, two thousand twenty”

      • Time : Example: Give “2:30pm” to be spoken as “Two thirty P.M.”

      • Telephone 

  4. Click “Save” when you are done with editing.
  5. To listen to new audio by the part (Intro, Story, and Outro). On the main editor page, Click “Regenerate Audio”.

  6. Then, click the play button at the top right box where you edited the content (Intro, Story, or Outro) to listen to just the part of the podcast. For full length, you can click the ‘View” button.

  7. If you are satisfied and wish to export the whole podcast sequence. Click “Export” to download or click “view” to listen, download or embed to your site. If you still want to keep editing, remember that when you want to listen to the most updated version, you need to convert the audio to get them on the system and convert them to audio.
